institution. Gain clarity on shifting priorities, compliance risks, and how to
navigate enforcement in today’s evolving regulatory environment.

- Steps you can take to mitigate risk associated with your overdraft programs
BONUS MATERIALS
- A searchable spreadsheet identifying the type of guidance withdrawn, its title and relevant subject matter, issue date, and Federal Register citation
WEBINAR DETAILS
On May 12, 2025, CFPB withdrew 67 guidance
documents issued by the agency since it opened for business in 2011. The
documents withdrawn include policy statements, interpretive rules, advisory
opinions, circulars, and bulletins and cover almost every aspect of a financial
institution’s operations (e.g., deposit accounts, lending, etc.)
The important thing to remember is that many of
these guidance documents were interpretations of laws and regulations that are
still in force. For example, while the CFPB may be taking a back seat in
monitoring for unfair, deceptive, or abusive acts and practices, UDAAP risk is
still present from a state enforcement perspective.
