WEBINAR DETAILS
Escrow and impound accounts play a critical role in helping
homeowners manage property-related expenses such as taxes, insurance, and other
assessments throughout their mortgage loan relationship. To ensure regulatory
compliance and operational accuracy, financial institutions must understand the
full lifecycle of an escrow account from establishment and disclosure to
ongoing administration and analysis. This session will provide a comprehensive
review of the requirements and best practices necessary to effectively manage
escrow accounts.
Participants will learn how to accurately disclose taxes,
insurance premiums, and other escrowed items on required TRID documents,
generate compliant initial escrow account statements, and administer escrow
accounts throughout the life of the loan. The webinar will also provide a
detailed examination of the escrow analysis process, including the calculation
and resolution of shortages, surpluses, and deficiencies. In addition, the
session will highlight common examiner-identified escrow compliance issues and
discuss practical strategies for preventing these weaknesses within your
institution’s processes and controls. Attendees will leave with valuable
checklists, tools, and regulatory guidance to strengthen their escrow
administration practices and ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
