Robert L. Viering

Bob is the principal of RiverPointUSA LLC, a national consulting and training firm dedicated to helping community banks and credit unions strengthen credit risk management, strategic planning, and sustainable growth. With over 40 years of experience in commercial banking, Bob brings expertise in C&I, CRE, and agricultural lending, as well as portfolio management, stress testing, CECL, liquidity, and capital planning.

Bob’s career includes roles as a de novo bank founder, CEO, Chief Lending Officer, regional credit officer, board member, and audit committee member. He has also served as an expert witness in state and federal courts. Bob is a past board member of state and national banking associations and a frequent speaker on banking topics across the country.

In addition to his work at RiverPointUSA, Bob co-founded RegVizion LLC, which develops AI-driven credit tools. Bob is also a founder of RegVizion LLC, developing AI-driven credit tools, and actively serves on the board of the Chicago Chapter of ProSight (formerly RMA) and is a member of their national Chapter Advisory Group.
