Biography

John Moeller is a partner and cofounder of CyberAssurance with over 30 years of experience in cybersecurity, risk management, and IT compliance. He specializes in guiding financial institutions through regulatory and cybersecurity challenges, serving as a trusted advisor and vCISO. John leverages expertise in NIST frameworks, CIS controls, CRI Profile, GLBA, FFIEC, AI audits, and Cybersecurity Supply Chain Risk Management (C-SCRM) to build resilient defenses and mitigate third-party risks.

He has held leadership roles at CLA and RSM and holds a bachelor’s degree in information technology (summa cum laude) from Capella University. A recognized thought leader, John frequently speaks at industry conferences and publishes insights to help organizations stay ahead of evolving cyber threats.
