Biography
Jim Thomas is a Washington, D.C.
attorney, speaker, trainer, media personality, and world-renowned negotiator.
In his 35-year career, Jim’s negotiating experience encompasses mergers and
acquisitions, domestic and international business transactions, nuclear arms
deals, the environment, trade and diplomacy, labor relations, and a host of
other fields. His clients include most of the Fortune 500, as well as
non-profit groups, professional and trade associations, and federal, state, and
local governmental agencies.
Jim's book "Negotiate to Win" has become a
bestseller in 13 languages globally, published by HarperCollins. Additionally,
Jim has authored numerous articles on the topic of negotiating and frequently
appears on television and radio as a guest. He also serves as a regular
commentator on Fox News and MSNBC. Jim is a sought-after speaker and trainer,
delivering talks to a wide range of corporate, government, trade, and
professional groups.
Jim graduated from UCLA and Georgetown University Law Center. He sits on several corporate boards and teaches at the University of Washington’s Pacific Coast Banking School, the Graduate School of Banking at LSU, and at the Georgetown University Law Center.
