Deciding whether to file a SAR is not always a simple decision. This webinar will provide real-life scenarios faced by BSA officers and will address the sometimes-complex SAR decision-making process. Join us to learn the requirements for the annual BSA audit, plus the requirements for CDD and EDD – which have become increasingly important in recent years. Participants will learn what the BSA officer’s job truly entails in these areas. Being a BSA officer requires a combination of technical knowledge and the ability to apply that knowledge, an ability to navigate and negotiate among entities within the organization, and the capability to deal with the auditors and regulators who are looking over your shoulder.
This webinar is the second of two in a series designed to provide training for the new BSA officer and a good refresher for more seasoned BSA personnel. Because each webinar will cover different aspects of BSA, you are encouraged to attend both for a complete overview of BSA requirements.
Attendance certificate provided to self-report CE credits.
- General requirements for a suspicious activity report and the SAR itself
- The real requirements of a BSA review (not “what is the minimum we can do?”)
- Customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence
- Additional record requirements
- TAKE-AWAY TOOLKIT
- The manual will provide additional background information far beyond what will be covered during the webinar and will provide new BSA officers with a roadmap to navigate the requirements
- Employee training log
- Interactive quiz
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This informative session is designed for BSA officers who are relatively new to the position and the regulation. Others will find the information a good refresher – including management, and others with BSA responsibilities.
