The current economy has many community banks operating in uncharted territory.  Unprecedented times call for unique ways to approach year-end tax planning and strategies for Subchapter S banks.

This presentation will focus on how to leverage this challenging environment in your year-end tax strategies.  Managing the timing of tax deductions and losses along with shareholder cash flow issues has become increasingly important in this economic and regulatory climate.

HIGHLIGHTS

·        Issues with cash flow management – matching taxable income with distributions

·        Consider passive-loss issues for some shareholders

·        Timing of deductions – other real estate and bad debts

·        Overview of Debt Modification Rules and Cancellation of Debt Income Rules

·        Using the American Recovery Reinvestment Act of 2009 provisions in year-end strategies

·        AND MORE!

WHY SHOULD YOU PARTICIPATE?

This presentation will acquaint you with the latest tax developments as they relate to the current economic and regulatory environment.  Things are changing rapidly and it is vital for bank management and shareholders to adjust their tax strategies with the changes in the environment.  Missing planning opportunities prior to year end could cost the bank capital and create cash flow problems for shareholders.  You may train as many individuals as you like for one set price.  There will be no travel costs, no time lost from work, and no one will be required to leave the institution.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Community bank shareholders, presidents, CFO’s, board members, and other applicable officers would benefit from this presentation.

Please note:  Your registration fee allows you to have one telephone connection.  However, as many people as you like may listen from your office speaker phone.  If you register for the webinar, your registration fee also includes one internet connection from a single computer terminal.
