Banks are required to develop and implement a comprehensive written information security program defining administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the bank’s size and scope of operations. The steps in building an Information Security Program (ISP) are similar to building a house. You must organize, plan, implement, operate and maintain, monitor and evaluate. This session will take you through the construction of an Information Security Program that meets regulator requirements. Both manual and automated methods of policy development will be covered. Various information security standards you may use to create your program will be discussed. The end result will be a blueprint for an ISP that will protect sensitive customer information and satisfy regulators.
