2:00 – 3:30 PM Central Time

Mortgage refinance requests are “red hot” in today’s economic environment and it’s likely they won’t cool down soon! One mortgage lender recently had 11 applications in a single day!  If this sounds like your recent experience, this session is for you.  A good “refresher” is always useful to remind lenders of important refinance compliance and underwriting issues.  Hurrying through the application and underwriting may lead to human error.  A timely training session can help address errors and re-emphasize compliance standards and requirements.  Loan processors and closing personnel will also benefit because being up-to-date with compliance requirements is essential.  This session will facilitate the refinance process and will provide information to catch potential errors.

WHAT THIS SESSION WILL COVER:

Ø      Compliance standards for refinances, whether fixed or variable rate

Ø      Underwriting issues to insure you haven’t rushed through the decision

Ø      Predatory lending issues:  it’s likely refinances will be carefully scrutinized during your next exam

Ø      Adverse action items

Ø      HMDA worksheet to ensure correct loan reporting

WHY SHOULD YOU PARTICIPATE?

Training helps mitigate errors! This session is a cost-effective way to weather the influx of refinance requests while meeting compliance standards.
