Is your bank ready for the next unexpected event?  It’s critical that the answer to this question is “YES”! Your bank must be prepared for unexpected events caused by both nature and man. Whether its fire, storm, or computer problems, being unprepared can be costly . . . including possible business failure! This is a topic in banking that draws much regulator scrutiny.  Because threats to business continuity can come from both internal and external sources, the regulators want us to be cautious and ready. Your written plan will be tested very carefully, as many bankers are finding out! This session will focus on the main areas addressed in the exam guidelines. This presents an excellent opportunity to see how your existing Business Continuity Plan compares to the information obtained from this session and ultimately to compliance guidelines.

The FFIEC Examination Handbook focuses on the following and so will this session!

  • Board & Senior Management Responsibilities
  • The BCP Process
  • Business Impact Analysis (BIA)
  • Risk Assessment
  • Risk Management
  • Risk Monitoring
  • Pandemic Issues
  • Examination Procedures
